 So I failed again, like the usual! I was supposed to have 100 hands completed by today but only managed to draw 42 this past week.

Illustrations

Two photo studies done in photoshop. In the first painting I had trouble with the drapery. I need more practice. In the second one I really struggle with the legs, and as you can see I still am. I need to do more arm and leg studies!

Still Life Studies

Apple Study-2011 Media: Digital

In this painting I am trying to practice on my blending , lighting, and proportions. I really like the colors I used here. I think I might make a conceptual piece using these same colors.

Still Life: Pear and Bottle-2011 Media: Oils

This second painting is done in oil. I am fairly new to it. I do enjoy it very much but at the same time it can be frustrating. I have been getting a lot of help from my painting teacher, Patrick Lee. It is greatly helpful to see him paint and talk about his process and techniques. Though I have grasped some of the basic techniques when it comes down using oils and painting in general, it is still a very big challenge to put brush strokes down onto canvas and have the painting look convincible and aesthetic.

WIP

A doodle that I am still working on. Inspired by a Sponge Bob episode. This was done from my IMAGINATION! Got alot more original work I am currently working on. Keep a look out, more updates to come shortly!

Movie Study

This is a work in progress. For reference I used a movie grab from The Life Aquatic. I had bad luck with this painting. I lost a whole days worth of work due to electricity outage and the file got corrupted so I have to start building it up again. I would say it roughly took me anywhere between 10-15 hours to get it at this stage. I feel like I could have worked faster if I planned the under structure better. I spent countless hours adjusting proportion and perspective errors. I can say that I am slowly starting to have a better eye for subtle details.

Digital Study

Hey, good morning everyone! Here is a painting that I did 2 days ago. The subject is a movie clip taken from Dahmer. I like the lighting so I decided to give it a shot at paint. I learned the hard way that the planning stage is pretty critical. The under structure/ drawing is more important that the painting stage. If the under structure is poor, the painting will look poor or will be a pain to revise. And I did spend many painful hours correcting mistakes and there are still many. Anyways this is an incomplete painting, I don't know if I am going to bring it to a finish because it was only for mere study purpose.

Welcome

I was thinking about making one of these blogs for awhile but never got around to it until today. My intent for this blog is to share my artwork with the community. On here I plan to post anything from sketches to finished illustrations/paintings to sources of inspiration. I will start my blog by posting this illustration that I did 2 days ago.
